The Midwest Homebrewer of the Year Award was established in 1990 to promote Midwest Homebrew Competitions and to recognize the excellent and diverse brewing skills of one diligent Midwest Homebrewer. The award is given to the brewer(s) who wins the most ribbons in different categories of participating Midwest Homebrew Competitions. Residents of IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OH, SD, and WI are eligible for the award. All entries must be brewed at home No Brewpub, Microbrewery, or Brew on Premises beers are eligible in any of the participating contests.
